Iris' Sense of Independence

Iris is fiercely independent now. She dictates almost everything; from what she wants to eat to what she wants to wear to what she wants to watch. Her sense of independence really makes me proud, but it can also be annoying sometimes for instance when she insisted on wearing baju kurung when she should be wearing pyjamas.
She can put on her top & pants herself, she can take her own bath, she can even pour water from one container to another without spills. And most endearing is that she can take orders very obediently.
There are a lot of skills that she managed to acquire at this age. She can build blocks, she can match pictures, she can understand a simple story from the TV, she can draw (don't be surprised with her high imaginative drawing) & among the complicated skills that she already has is to put on make-up (lipstick & blusher) very nicely.
And though she hasn't managed to flip channels on her own, she knows that her favourite channel is six-one-three. So be ready to switch to PHDC when she comes to you with the remote!
