Yesterday, a friend forwarded me the link http://memorizulaikha.blogspot.com. I felt deeply for Arwah Baby Zulaikha who became the victim to her own babysitter. I couldn't imagine if the same thing were to happen to me. Nauzubillah.. My support & respect goes to the mother who is still standing strong, fighting for justice after what has happened.
I remembered 3 years back when we were bogged down with the problem of finding a good babysitter. I ended up sending Iris to two babysitters & two nurseries before finally settling on the current one. Initially the first babysitter was all excited about nursing Iris but less than a month later, she started showing all negative symptoms. She would say that Iris wouldn't take her milk, Iris wouldn't sleep, so on and so forth. She cautioned me not to come back late coz she wanted to go to Pasar Ramadhan, even way before Ramadhan started. She was also worried that she would not be able to take days off to balik kampung. On top of that, she asked me to buy "buai" so that Iris would sleep longer & she can do her household chores.
Her request was against our decision which was to train Iris to sleep by herself on the mattress, not on "buai". But after much consideration, we went ahead & bought the "buai" coz we wanted to lift off some of her burden.
But before we could even pass the "buai" to her, she sent me an SMS saying that she thought it's better if I could find a nursery for Iris.
That was the last straw. We never saw her again after that.
