Woke up at about 5 something this morning. Iris' temperature had spiked again after the paracetamol effect was over. Changed her diapers & fed her paracetamol before putting her back to bed. She dozed off after telling me that Mr Lopart drew a big red lollipop in last nite's Handy Manny series. (Handy Manny is one of Iris' fave cartoon series in Play House Disney Channel).
Definitely I've got to take urgent leave from work today to monitor Iris' condition. Usually if she doesn't get better after 2 days, we'll bring her to see Dr Azam. Dr Azam is a very skilled paediatrician in Pantai who's very concerned about Iris' well being. He always makes sure that i puff Iris with Ventolin & Seretide every certain hours & continuously with Seretide for at least 3 months. It's just that i always stop puffing her after she gets well. I just can't bear the thoughts of having to put Iris constantly on medication or in other words, make her dependent on medication. But usually after stopping Seretide for few months, Iris will get sick again.
Sometimes i do think that i am a lousy mother.
